Regular Season Round 14: KTP Basket - BC Nokia 97-79

The game in Kotka supposed to be also quite interesting. 5th ranked BC Nokia (7-6) played at the court of seventh ranked KTP Basket (7-6). KTP Basket did not have too big problems ending evening with a very confident victory 97-79 on Friday. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of BC Nokia. The game without a history. KTP Basket led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They shot the lights out from three sinking 14 long-distance shots on high 51.9 percentage. American guard Byron Wesley (196-92, college: Gonzaga) notched 25 points and 5 rebounds to lead the effort and the other American import forward JayVaughn Pinkston (201-91, college: Villanova) supported him with 14 points and 7 rebounds. Five KTP Basket players scored in double figures. Even 14 points and 7 rebounds by American guard Demarcus Holland (193-94, college: Texas) did not help to save the game for BC Nokia. Point guard Niko Mattila (192-94) added 12 points and 4 assists for the guests. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. KTP Basket moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Kouvot and BC Nokia. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
