No shocking result in a game when third ranked Souffelweyersheim (6-1) beat 12th ranked Aix-Maurienne (3-4) in Aix-les-Bains 90-77 on Friday. It was a very good performance for Jamaican forward Kentan Facey (206-93, college: Connecticut, agency: Inception Sports) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds. Jason Bach (198-87) contributed with 17 points for the winners. Four Souffelweyersheim players scored in double figures. Souffelweyersheim's coach Stephane Eberlin used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Bahamas forward Jaraun Burrows (203-85, college: PFW) answered with a double-double by scoring 21 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists and naturalized Swiss center David Ramseyer (202-87) added 26 points in the effort for Aix-Maurienne. Souffelweyersheim have an impressive series of six victories in a row. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Blois. Loser Aix-Maurienne dropped to the eleventh place with four games lost. Souffelweyersheim will face bottom-ranked Provence Basket (#18) in Fos-sur-Mer in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Aix-Maurienne will play on the road against Sluc Nancy (#7) and hope to win that game.
