Regular Season Round 33: Phoenix Suns - Minnesota T. 100-98

Important game to mention about took place in Phoenix. Third ranked Suns (8-6) saved a 2-point victory at home edging their close opponent Timberwolves (8-8) 100-98 in the fight for the third place. Suns made 24-of-26 free shots (92.3 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Devin Booker (198-96, college: Kentucky) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 35 points (!!!), 12 rebounds and 9 assists (went 11 for 11 at the free throw line !!!) for the winners and swingman Kelly Oubre (201-95, college: Kansas) chipped in 25 points and 11 rebounds. The best for the losing side was Dominican-American power forward Karl-Anthony Towns (213-95, college: Kentucky) with a double-double by scoring 31 points, 17 rebounds and 4 assists and forward Keita Bates-Diop (201-96, college: Ohio St.) scored 22 points. Four Timberwolves players scored in double figures. Timberwolves' coach let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Suns maintains third place with 8-6 record having four points less than leader Milwaukee B. which they share with defeated Timberwolves. Loser Timberwolves keep the third position with eight games lost. Suns will face league's leader Nuggets in Denver in the next day and it will be for sure the game of the week.
