No shocking result in a game in Renova where eighth ranked Kagoshima (9-8) defeated 11th ranked Kanazawa (4-14) 92-81. American forward Shelton Boykin (198-92, college: Angelo St.) nailed 29 points and 5 assists for the winning side and his fellow American import forward Chris Washburn (203-93, college: TCU) accounted for 15 points, 11 rebounds and 7 assists. Bahamas center Gjio Bain (211-85, college: S.Mississippi) came up with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 17 rebounds and point guard Daichi Tomioka (165-95) added 27 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists respectively for Kanazawa in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Kagoshima. They moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Saga B. Kanazawa at the other side keeps the eleventh position with 14 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
