Regular Season Round 8: Amyntas D. - Karditsas 65-75

Bottom-ranked Amyntas D. is still unable to win any game. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their seventh consecutive match to fifth ranked Karditsas (5-3) 75-65 on Saturday evening. The winners were led by forward Dimitris Gravas (203-93) who scored that evening 19 points and 7 rebounds and power forward Vangelis Papadopoulos (205-85) supported him with 14 points and 5 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). Five Karditsas players scored in double figures. Even 13 points and 9 assists by point guard Leonidas Zoupas (185-82) did not help to save the game for Amyntas D.. Guard Thanasis Konstantakopoulos (194-88) added 8 points and 4 assists for the hosts. Amyntas D.'s coach Alexis Zavos rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Karditsas moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Apollon P. Loser Amyntas D. still closes the standings with seven games lost. Karditsas will meet at home Apollon P. (#4) in the next round. Amyntas D. will play against Anatolia (#11) in Thessaloniki and hopes to get finally their first victory.
