The game in San Cristobal was also worth to mention about. 4th placed Valencia (6-3) played at the court of seventh ranked Clarinos (6-3). Clarinos did not have too big problems and got a relatively easy victory 75-58. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Valencia. American guard Tanaya Atkinson (183-96, college: Temple) nailed 24 points for the winning side and her fellow American import center Vionise Pierre-Louis (193-95, college: Oklahoma) accounted for 18 points and 5 rebounds. Mali power forward Meiya Tirera (186-86) came up with a double-double by scoring 27 points and 16 rebounds and the former international swingman Queralt Casas (177-92) added 13 points and 4 assists respectively for Valencia in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Clarinos moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Valencia and Cadi La Seu. Clarinos will play against bottom-ranked Zamarat (#14) in Zamora in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Valencia will play at home against Socinsa Bembibre (#13) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
