We should mention about the upset which took place in Tokyo, where higher ranked Saga B. (9-8) was outleveled in a road game by ninth ranked Tokyo HT (9-9) 98-78. They made 18-of-22 charity shots (81.8 percent) during the game. Tokyo HT players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. The game was dominated by American players. Forward Marcellus Sommerville (200-82, college: Bradley) nailed 31 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side and forward Jahmar Thorpe (198-84, college: Houston) accounted for 14 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists. Five Tokyo HT players scored in double figures. Center Nick Washburn (208-91, college: Hillsdale, agency: Duran International) came up with 18 points and 4 assists (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) and Trey Gilder (206-85, college: Northwestern St.) added 8 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for Saga B. in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Tokyo HT moved-up to eighth place. Saga B. lost their fourth game in a row. Newly promoted team dropped to the sixth position with eight games lost. Tokyo HT's next round opponent will be again higher ranked Saga B. (#6) at home and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
