Regular Season Round 8: Dubrovnik - Sesvete 77-72

Very predictable result when third ranked KK Dubrovnik (5-2) defeated at home bottom-ranked Sesvete (1-6) 77-72 on Saturday. However just five-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. KK Dubrovnik made 31-of-37 free shots (83.8 percent) during the game, while Sesvete only scored ten points from the stripe. The best player for the winners was point guard Petar Dubelj (178-97) who scored 26 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists (was perfect 17-for-17 from the free throw line !!!). Power forward Ivan Vodopija (202-93) chipped in a double-double by scoring 13 points and 13 rebounds. Four KK Dubrovnik players scored in double figures. Dario Papak produced a double-double by scoring 24 points and 17 rebounds and forward Filip Tusek (196-91) added 16 points and 4 assists respectively for the guests. Sesvete's coach tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. KK Dubrovnik have a solid three-game winning streak. KK Dubrovnik moved-up to second place. Sesvete lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team stay at the bottom position with six games lost. KK Dubrovnik will meet league's leader Jazine in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Sesvete will play against Universitas (#6) and hope to win that game.
