The game in Patra was also quite interesting. One of their biggest challengers Agriniou (4-4) played at the court of sixth ranked Apollon P. (5-3). Apollon P. did not have too big problems and got a relatively easy victory 98-81 on Saturday. Apollon P. shot the lights out from three sinking 17 long-distance shots on high 68.0 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. Swingman Giannis Molfetas (194-92) orchestrated the victory by scoring 17 points and 5 rebounds. Angelos Tsamis (192-81) contributed with 15 points and 4 assists for the winners. Apollon P.'s coach Konstantinos Delegkos used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Antonis Mihaloglou replied with 25 points and 5 rebounds and French guard Kevin Franceschi (191-93, college: Oklah.Baptist) added 14 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Agriniou. Five Apollon P. and four Agriniou players scored in double figures. Apollon P. moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Karditsas. Agriniou lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the sixth position with four games lost. Apollon P. will face Karditsas (#5) on the road in the next round. Agriniou will play against Eleftheroupoli and hope to win that game.
