Regular Season Round 11: RCOP Tsmoki - Borisfen 73-109

Very predictable result when second ranked COR-Borisfen (7-1) rolled over 9th ranked RCOP Tsmoki (1-7) in Minsk 109-73. The game without a history. COR-Borisfen led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. COR-Borisfen shot 30 for 41 from the free-throw line, while RCOP Tsmoki only scored eight points from the stripe. COR-Borisfen forced 30 RCOP Tsmoki turnovers and outrebounded them 43-24 including a 26-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. COR-Borisfen players were unselfish on offense dishing 31 assists. RCOP Tsmoki was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for American center Taylor Adway (205-96, college: Ferris St.) who led his team to a victory scoring 19 points and 9 rebounds. Guard Evgeniy Ivanov (198-84) helped adding 15 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Five COR-Borisfen players scored in double figures. Forward Nikita Lagun (195-1) responded with 17 points, 7 assists and 4 steals and point guard Timofey Karpuk (185-2) scored 20 points and 5 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. COR-Borisfen have a solid series of four victories in a row. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Grodno-93 and Rubon. RCOP Tsmoki lost seventh consecutive game. They dropped to the eighth place with seven games lost. They share the position with Brest. COR-Borisfen will play against league's leader Rubon in Vitebsk in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. RCOP Tsmoki will play on the road against Brest (#8) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
