Regular Season Round 10: Lliria - Castello 2 88-72

There was a change at the EBA leadership position after last games. Round 10 most important game was a defeat of league's leader Castello II (6-2). They were defeated by second ranked Lliria (7-1) 88-72 on Saturday night. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Castello II. It was a key game for the top position in Group E-A. Guard Josep Peris (192-0) scored 20 points to lead the charge for the winners and point guard Victor Perez (180-90) chipped in 17 points and 5 assists during the contest. At the losing side Javier Le-Berre responded with 11 points and 8 rebounds and naturalized Angolan forward Julio De-Assis (203-92, agency: Duran International) scored 13 points and 6 rebounds. Four Castello II players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Lliria have an impressive seven-game winning streak. They keep a position of Group E-A leader. Newly promoted Castello II dropped to the fourth place with two games lost. They share the position with Valencia II and Paterna. They were replaced at the leadership position by Lliria. Castello II will play next round against Picken Claret trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Lliria will try to continue on its current victory against second ranked Valencia-2 on the road.
