Regular Season Round 10: SESE - Almozara 74-73

Not a big story in a game in Barcelona where 14th ranked Almozara (2-8) was edged by fifth ranked SESE (7-3) 74-73 on Saturday. However just one-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. SESE outrebounded Almozara 43-26 including 28 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Forward Gonzalo Vazquez (-92) scored 14 points and 6 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Joaquim Galve (-93) chipped in 14 points during the contest. SESE's coach Xavier Pardina used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. At the losing side forward Hugo Cano (195-93) responded with 15 points and 7 assists and Pablo Gracia (197-96) scored 8 points and 7 rebounds. SESE have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place in Group C-A, which they share with Quart and Martinenc. Almozara lost fifth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the fourteenth position with eight games lost. SESE will face Maristes Ademar (#6) in Badalona in the next round. Almozara will play at home against Martorell (#7) and hope to win that game.
