Regular Season Round 20: Ehime OV - Yamagata 100-72

Everything went according to plan in Matsuyama where fourth ranked Orange Vikings (10-11) outscored 6th ranked Yamagata (4-17) 100-72 on Saturday. They outrebounded Yamagata 38-27 including 32 on the defensive glass. Orange Vikings shot the lights out from three sinking 15 long-distance shots on high 53.6 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Chehales Tapscott (195-90, college: Portland St.) who helped to win the game recording a triple-double by scoring 40 points (!!!), 11 rebounds and 11 assists (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line) and American-Puerto Rican center Chris Brady (208-95, college: Monmouth) who added 8 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest. American forward Stephen Hurt (211-93, college: Kansas St.) responded with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds and swingman Mitsutaka Izawa (194-93) scored 13 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Orange Vikings have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain fourth position with 10-11 record. Yamagata lost third consecutive game. They keep the sixth place with 17 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
