Regular Season Round 9: Al-Qazeres - Girona 42-70

LFB top team - Argon Uni Girona (8-1) had no problems winning another game on Sunday. This time they crushed eighth ranked Al-Qazeres (4-5) in Caceres 70-42. Argon Uni Girona held Al-Qazeres to an opponent 23.0 percent shooting from the field compared to 45.8 percent accuracy of the winners. They outrebounded Al-Qazeres 48-24 including a 34-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Argon Uni Girona made 7 blocks. American guard Brittney Sykes (175-94, college: Syracuse) stepped up and scored 17 points and 6 rebounds for the winners and international Maria Araujo (188-97) chipped in 11 points and 9 rebounds.
