Undefeated leader Moncalieri delivered the eighth consecutive victory on Sunday night. This time they beat 13th ranked Vicenza (1-8) 75-70. Moncalieri dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to Vicenza's 22. Moncalieri forced 26 Vicenza turnovers and outrebounded them 47-24 including a 24-3 advantage in offensive rebounds. German forward Stefanie Grigoleit (186-89) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 14 points, 13 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 steals for the winners and center Valeria Trucco (190-99) chipped in 12 points and 8 rebounds. Moncalieri's coach used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. The best for the losing side was Beatrice Olajide with 18 points and 6 rebounds and guard Federica Monaco (175-93) scored 21 points. Moncalieri maintains first place in A2 with 8-0 record. Loser Vicenza dropped to the fourteenth position with eight games lost. Moncalieri will meet league's second-placed Alpo VF in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Vicenza will play against Scrivia (#5) and hope to win that game.
