There was no surprise when 11th ranked Oleggio (3-6) was outplayed on the road by third ranked San Miniato (8-2) 97-59 on Sunday. San Miniato dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to Oleggio's 22. San Miniato forced 28 Oleggio turnovers and had a 22-8 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists comparing to just 4 passes made by Oleggio's players. Swingman Matteo Neri (191-98) scored 19 points and 5 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and naturalized Dominican point guard Alberto Benites (181-97) chipped in 15 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest. San Miniato maintains third position in B with 8-2 record behind leader Benedetto CE, which they share with Bernareggio. Loser Oleggio keeps the eleventh place with six games lost. San Miniato will face Alessandria FB (#12) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Oleggio will play against Capo d'Orlando and hope to win that game.
