The game in Tokyo was also quite interesting. 6th ranked Saga B. (9-9) played at the court of eighth ranked Tokyo HT (10-9). Tokyo HT defeated Saga B. 82-69 on Sunday. American forward Marcellus Sommerville (200-82, college: Bradley) notched a double-double by scoring 16 points and 13 rebounds to lead the effort and the other American import forward Jahmar Thorpe (198-84, college: Houston) supported him with 14 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Four Tokyo HT players scored in double figures. Even 19 points and 6 rebounds by American Trey Gilder (206-85, college: Northwestern St.) did not help to save the game for Saga B.. Ryota Inoue (185-95) added 18 points. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Tokyo HT moved-up to fifth place. Saga B. lost fifth consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the eighth position with nine games lost. Tokyo HT will meet at home Okayama (#6) in the next round. Saga B. will play against Shizuoka and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
