Regular Season Round 9: GELP - Ciclista 82-88

Rather expected game when 7th ranked GELP (2-8) lost to fifth ranked Ciclista (4-4) in La Plata 82-88 on Sunday. Ciclista made 21-of-24 free shots (87.5 percent) during the game. It was a good game for American power forward Amir Warnock (206-95, college: Ky Wesleyan) who led his team to a victory with 21 points and 6 rebounds. Swingman Julian Morales (193-95) contributed with 17 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Pablo Alderete (196-93) answered with 25 points and 8 rebounds (went 9 for 9 at the free throw line !!!) and Joaquin Rios added 25 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for GELP. Ciclista maintains fifth place in Liga Argentina with 4-4 record. Loser GELP keeps the seventh position with eight games lost. Ciclista will face higher ranked Racing (#4) in Chivilcoy in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
