Regular Season Round 10: San Severo - Basket RAV 77-79

A very close game took place in San Severo between Basket RAV and San Severo. Second ranked Basket RAV (7-3) got a very close victory on the road over 9th ranked San Severo (4-6). Basket RAV managed to escape with a 2-point win 79-77 on Sunday evening. Guest team only slightly avoided a big embarassment. Strangely San Severo outrebounded Basket RAV 42-25 including a 33-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. American power forward Charles Thomas (203-86, college: Arkansas) scored 23 points and 6 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and naturalized Estonian forward Kaspar Treier (203-99) chipped in 18 points during the contest. At the losing side American guard Tre Demps (188-93, college: Northwestern, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) responded with 27 points and 4 assists and naturalized American power forward Cristopher Mortellaro (207-82, college: Drury) scored 4 points and 17 rebounds. Despite that victory Basket RAV went down to third position (A2) due to points difference. Newly promoted San Severo keeps the ninth place with six games lost. Basket RAV will meet at home Orzinuovi (#14) in the next round which should be an easy win for them. San Severo will play against Poderosa MNT (#13) in Montenegrano and hope to secure a win.
