Everything went according to plan when fourth ranked Civitanova (7-3) beat at home 6th ranked Chieti (5-5) 77-72 on Sunday. Chieti was plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. The former international power forward Valerio Amoroso (204-80, agency: Interperformances) had a double-double by scoring 27 points and 17 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and forward Francesco Amoroso (201-78, agency: SPORTlab Agency) chipped in 19 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. Four Civitanova players scored in double figures.
