Liga Endesa top team - Real Madrid (9-1) had no problems winning another game on Sunday. This time they beat seventh ranked Gran Canaria (5-5) 92-76. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Gran Canaria. Real Madrid made 18-of-22 free shots (81.8 percent) during the game. Real Madrid had a 29-18 advantage in offensive rebounds. They shot the lights out from three sinking 12 long-distance shots on high 52.2 percentage. Argentinian point guard Nicolas Laprovittola (190-90) scored 16 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists to lead the charge for the winners and naturalized Cape Verdean center Walter Tavares (220-92) chipped in 12 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side American-Lithuanian John Shurna (204-90, college: Northwestern) responded with 12 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and international forward Javier Beiran (200-87) scored 11 points.
