Fourth-ranked Kings (7-9) used its home court advantage to challenge first ranked Celtics (12-4) in Sacramento on Monday. The visitors from Boston managed to secure only one-point victory 103-102. However their fans expected easier game. Celtics dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Kings' 38 and made 20-of-23 free shots (87.0 percent) during the game. Forward Jayson Tatum (203-98, college: Duke) saved the victory by scoring 20 points and 6 rebounds. Forward Jaylen Brown (201-96, college: California) contributed with 24 points for the winners. Four Celtics players scored in double figures. Bahamas guard Buddy Hield (193-93, college: Oklahoma) answered with 41 points (!!!) and 5 rebounds and forward Harrison Barnes (203-92, college: UNC) added 20 points in the effort for Kings. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Celtics maintains first place with 12-4 record, which they share with Miami Heat and Toronto R. Kings at the other side keep the fourth position with nine games lost.
