Regular Season Round 35: Minnesota T. - Atlanta H. 125-113

Everything went according to plan when third ranked Timberwolves (9-8) defeated 5th ranked Hawks (4-13) in Minnesota 125-113 on Monday. Timberwolves made 28-of-36 free shots (77.8 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. Hawks were plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. Dominican-American power forward Karl-Anthony Towns (213-95, college: Kentucky) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 28 points, 13 rebounds and 8 assists. Canadian guard Andrew Wiggins (203-95, college: Kansas) contributed with 25 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Four Timberwolves players scored in double figures. Guard Trae Young (188-98, college: Oklahoma) answered with 37 points (!!!), 6 rebounds and 9 assists and forward Jabari Parker (203-95, college: Duke) added 22 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Hawks. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Timberwolves maintains third place with 9-8 record having just two points less than leader Milwaukee B., which they share with Brooklyn N. Hawks lost seventh consecutive game. They keep the fifth position with 13 games lost.
