Rather expected game when 3rd placed Spurs (6-12) lost to first ranked Lakers (15-2) in Los Angeles 104-114 on Monday. Lakers looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists. LeBron James (203-84) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!) and 14 assists. Center Anthony Davis (208-93, college: Kentucky) contributed with a double-double by scoring 19 points, 12 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. Power forward LaMarcus Aldridge (211-85, college: Texas) answered with 30 points and 5 rebounds and swingman DeMar DeRozan (201-89, college: USC) added 24 points and 5 assists in the effort for Spurs. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Lakers have an impressive series of eight victories in a row. They maintain first place with 15-2 record. Loser Spurs keep the third position with 12 games lost.
