Regular Season Round 21: Fukushima - Kagawa FA 86-112

No shocking result in a game when second ranked Kagawa FA (14-5) smashed on the road 4th placed Fukushima (7-12) 112-86 on Tuesday. Kagawa FA made 21-of-23 free shots (91.3 percent) during the game. Kagawa FA had a 32-18 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists. The best player for the winners was American guard Terrance Woodbury (201-87, college: Georgia) who had a double-double by scoring 37 points (!!!), 10 rebounds and 4 assists (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field). His fellow American import forward Kevin Kotzur (203-89, college: St.Mary's, TX) chipped in a double-double by scoring 15 points, 13 rebounds and 7 assists. Woodbury is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Five Kagawa FA players scored in double figures. Coach 's team controlled all game and the coach could let to play 11 players and allowed the starting five to rest. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Shaheed Davis (206-94, college: UCF) who recorded a double-double by scoring 30 points and 14 rebounds and point guard Shinya Murakami (172-91) added 21 points and 7 assists respectively. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Kagawa FA. They maintain second place with 14-5 record having just two points less than leader Shinshu BW. Fukushima lost their fifth game in a row. They keep the fourth position with 12 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
