The game in Kotka supposed to be also quite interesting. Second ranked Vilpas (13-2) played at the court of 5th ranked KTP Basket (7-7). Vilpas smashed KTP Basket 129-92 on Tuesday. The guests trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 13-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 129-92. Vilpas shot 61.6 percent from the field. They shot the lights out from three sinking 15 long-distance shots on high 55.6 percentage. Vilpas looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. KTP Basket was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. American players dominated the game. It was a very good performance for swingman Tim Coleman (196-95, college: NJIT) who helped to win the game recording 29 points and 6 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field). Center Jamuni McNeace (208-96, college: Oklahoma) contributed with 20 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Forward JayVaughn Pinkston (201-91, college: Villanova) replied with 19 points and 5 rebounds and power forward Kevin Langford (203-85, college: TCU) added 12 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for KTP Basket. Five Vilpas and four KTP Basket players scored in double figures. KTP Basket's coach Tomi Kaminen gave up on the game allowing to play twelve players seeing no chance for a win. Vilpas have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 13-2 record behind leader Seagulls. Loser KTP Basket dropped to the sixth place with seven games lost. Vilpas will face Kauhajoki (#3) on the road in the next round, which may be the game of the day. KTP Basket will play against the league's leader Seagulls and hope to win that game.
