Very expected game in Vimpeli where 9th ranked ViVe (1-9) was defeated by third ranked Forssan Alku (7-3) 78-67. The game was mostly controlled by Forssan Alku. ViVe was better in second period 20-11. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding ViVe to just 6 points in third quarter. It was a very good performance for American forward Delaney Bruce (184-96, college: EWU, agency: Interperformances) who helped to win the game recording 23 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. The former international point guard Meral Bedretdin (174-93) contributed with 11 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. Four Forssan Alku players scored in double figures. Forssan Alku's coach Risto-Matti Rousku allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American guard Abria Trice (185-92, college: ECU, agency: LBM Management) replied with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds and her fellow American import forward Jamee Swan (188-94, college: Colorado) added 14 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for ViVe. Forssan Alku maintains third position with 7-3 record having just three points less than leader Kouvot. ViVe lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the ninth place with nine games lost. Forssan Alku will play against bottom-ranked HyPo (#10) in Hyvinkaa in the next round and are hoping to win another game. ViVe will play on the road against Torpan Pojat in Helsinki to get more than just one victory in their record.
