Regular Season Round 4: SBS Ostrava - Marburg 63-90

An interesting game for German BC Pharmaserv Marburg (2-0) which played road game in Ostrava against 4th ranked Czech SBS Ostrava (1-3). Top-ranked BC Pharmaserv Marburg had an easy win 90-63. BC Pharmaserv Marburg outrebounded SBS Ostrava 46-24 including a 29-13 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The winners were led by guard Theresa Simon (180-98) who scored that evening 18 points and 9 rebounds and forward Johanna Klug (189-98, college: Fordham) supported her with 14 points and 10 rebounds. Four BC Pharmaserv Marburg players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 15 points and 13 rebounds by American forward Tiffany Jones (190-91, college: Seton Hall) did not help to save the game for SBS Ostrava. Her fellow American import guard Sara Dickey (180-15, college: Evansville) added 22 points for lost side. BC Pharmaserv Marburg maintains second position in Group B with 2-0 record behind leader Chomutov. Loser SBS Ostrava keeps the fourth place with three games lost. BC Pharmaserv Marburg will meet at home league's leader Zabiny Brno in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. SBS Ostrava will have a break next round.
