Regular Season Round 9: Pyrinto Ak.B - Raholan Pyrkiva 80-73

There was an upset in Tampere where second-best Raholan Pyrkiva (7-2) was defeated by eleventh ranked Pyrinto Ak.B (1-8) 80-73 on Thursday. The hosts trailed by 10 points after first quarter, but they rallied back and won the game by 7 points. Forward Mikko Nurmi (202-98) stepped up and scored 4 points, 21 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners and guard Eetu Laitinen (187-99) chipped in 18 points and 5 rebounds. The best for the losing side was guard Lauri Tiainen (193-90) with 20 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and center Ilkka Keski-Saari (200-90) scored 7 points and 8 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Newly promoted Pyrinto Ak.B maintains eleventh place in Division with 1-8 record. Raholan Pyrkiva at the other side keeps the second position with two games lost. Pyrinto Ak.B will have a break next round. Raholan Pyrkiva will play at home against Huima where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
