Regular Season Round 26: Santos - Libertadores 74-99

Date: November 28, 2019
The game between closely ranked teams ended with 8th ranked Santos' (7-18) home loss to seventh ranked Libertadores (10-15) 74-99 on Thursday. Libertadores made 19-of-23 free shots (82.6 percent) during the game. Center Ray Barreno (208-94, college: Portland) had a double-double by scoring 22 points and 11 rebounds (on 11-of-14 shooting from the field) to lead the charge for the winners and Dominican-Puerto Rican swingman Jonathan Rodriguez (196-87, college: Campbell) chipped in 24 points and 8 rebounds (was perfect 13-for-13 from the free throw line !!!) during the contest. American center BJ West (211-89, college: Jackson St.) responded with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 13 rebounds and Barry Chinedu (193-94) scored 15 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Libertadores maintains seventh position with 10-15 record. Santos lost eleventh consecutive game. They keep the eighth place with 18 games lost. Libertadores will have a break next round. Santos will play again at home against Libertadores (#7) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
