Regular Season Round 10: Stelmet Enea - Asseco Arka 87-65

An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Zielona Gora. Third ranked Stelmet Enea BC faced 4th ranked Asseco Arka. Host Stelmet Enea BC (8-2) smashed guests from Gdynia (6-4) 87-65. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Asseco Arka. Stelmet Enea BC forced 19 Asseco Arka turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Tony Meier (204-90, college: Milwaukee) who helped to win the game recording 16 points (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). Swedish point guard Ludvig Hakanson (190-96, agency: Octagon Europe) contributed with 11 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. Four Stelmet Enea BC players scored in double figures. American swingman Josh Bostic (196-87, college: Findlay, OH) replied with 15 points and 5 assists and the former international Bartlomiej Woloszyn (196-86) added 11 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Asseco Arka. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Stelmet Enea BC have an impressive seven-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with TBV Start. Asseco Arka at the other side dropped to the fifth position with four games lost. They share it with Radom and Trefl. Stelmet Enea BC will play against bottom-ranked Polpharma (#16) in Starogard Gdanski in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Asseco Arka will play on the road against HydroTruck Radom (#6) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
