Regular Season Round 38: San Antonio S. - LA Clippers 107-97

Very important is a road loss of second ranked Clippers (13-7) against fourth ranked Spurs (7-13) on Friday night. Visiting Clippers were defeated by Spurs in San Antonio 107-97. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Clippers. Spurs players were unselfish on offense dishing 28 assists. They brought some defensive toughness making 8 blocks. Power forward LaMarcus Aldridge (211-85, college: Texas) notched 17 points, 8 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 blocks to lead the effort and swingman DeMar DeRozan (201-89, college: USC) supported him with 15 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists. Even 19 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists by forward Kawhi Leonard (201-91, college: San Diego St.) did not help to save the game for Clippers. Forward JaMychal Green (206-90, college: Alabama) added 16 points and 8 rebounds for the guests. Five Spurs and four Clippers players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Spurs moved-up to third place. Clippers at the other side keep the second position with seven games lost.
