Fifth-ranked Hawks (4-15) made lots of trouble for second ranked Pacers (12-6) in Indianapolis. Pacers managed to secure only one-point victory 105-104. However their fans expected easier game. Pacers forced 24 Hawks turnovers. They brought some defensive toughness making 7 blocks. Hawks were plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. Lithuanian-American power forward Domantas Sabonis (209-96, college: Gonzaga) saved the victory with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 12 rebounds. Guard Malcolm Brogdon (196-92, college: Virginia) contributed with 16 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners. Five Pacers players scored in double figures. Guard Trae Young (188-98, college: Oklahoma) replied with 49 points (!!!) and 6 assists (was perfect 9-for-9 from the free throw line !!!) and forward DeAndre Bembry (198-94, college: St.Joseph's, agency: Pensack Sports) added 15 points and 12 rebounds in the effort for Hawks. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Pacers have an impressive five-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Dallas M. and Houston R. Hawks lost ninth consecutive game. They keep the fifth place with 15 games lost. They share the position with New York K.. Pacers will play against 76ers (#3) in Philadelphia in the next day, which may be the game of the day. Hawks will play on the road against the league's second-placed Rockets in Houston and hope to get back on the winning track.
