Regular Season Round 8: Lille - Blois 88-70

There was a change at the ProB leadership position after last games. Round 8 most important game was a defeat of league's leader ADA Blois (6-2). They were defeated by sixth ranked Lille Metropole (5-3) 88-70 on Friday night. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of ADA Blois. Lille Metropole made 18-of-21 free shots (85.7 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Mike Holton-Jr (190-90, college: St.Michael's) who helped to win the game recording 24 points and point guard Luc Loubaki (191-97) who added 11 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists during the contest. Five Lille Metropole players scored in double figures. American forward Tyren Johnson (201-88, college: La-Lafayette) responded with 21 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and Senegalese guard Lamine Sambe (188-89) scored 12 points and 6 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Lille Metropole moved-up to fifth place, which they share with 3 other teams. ADA Blois at the other side still keeps top position with two games lost. They were joined at the leadership position by Nantes who have the same record. ADA Blois will play next round against Quimper UJAP trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Lille Metropole will try to continue on its current victory against seventh ranked JA Vichy at home.
