Regular Season Round 11: Marin - Ourense 55-65

Date: November 30, 2019
Very predictable result when eighth ranked Ourense (7-4) beat on the road bottom-ranked Marin (1-10) 65-55. It was an exceptional evening for Canadian guard Connor Wood (193-93, college: Carleton) who led the winners and scored 15 points and 8 rebounds. Point guard Oscar Alvarado (184-91) accounted for 10 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side. Four Ourense players scored in double figures. Forward Jacobo Diaz (206-96, college: Indiana, PA) came up with 18 points and 6 rebounds and Croatian power forward Filip Toncinic (212-84, college: Texas A&M-CC) added 8 points and 12 rebounds respectively for Marin in the defeat. Ourense moved-up to fifth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Marin lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team stay at the bottom position with ten games lost. Ourense's next round opponent will be Real Canoe (#17) in Madrid which should be an easy win for them. Marin will play on the road against Lleida Basquet and hope to win that game.
