A very close game took place in Sao Jose between Brasilia and Sao Jose. Thirteenth ranked Brasilia (4-5) got a very close victory on the road over 14th ranked Sao Jose (3-8). Brasilia managed to escape with a 2-point win 94-92 on Saturday evening. The guests trailed by 2 points after three quarters before their 23-19 charge, which allowed them to win the game. It was an exceptional evening for the former international Arthur Silva (196-82) who led the winners and scored 22 points and 6 rebounds. Center Ronald Reis (211-91) accounted for 13 points and 9 rebounds for the winning side. Center Rafael Rodrigues (213-87) came up with a double-double by scoring 27 points and 10 rebounds and the former international guard Eduardo Machado (193-82) added 21 points respectively for Sao Jose in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Brasilia moved-up to tenth place. Sao Jose at the other side keeps the fourteenth position with eight games lost. Brasilia will meet SKY/Basquete (#15) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Sao Jose will play against Minas and hope to secure a win.
