Regular Season Round 7: Olympiacos - Eleutheria M. 75-62

An interesting game for Olympiacos (7-0) which hosted in Pireus their biggest opponent Eleutheria M. (5-2). Leader Olympiacos managed to get a 13-point victory 75-62. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Eleutheria M.. Olympiacos dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Eleutheria M.'s 36. Olympiacos forced 19 Eleutheria M. turnovers and outrebounded them 37-26 including 24 on the defensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of American power forward Bashaara Graves (188-94, college: Tennessee) who helped to win the game recording 17 points and 8 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). International guard Pinelopi Pavlopoulou (172-96, college: WSU) contributed with 11 points and 4 assists for the winners. Olympiacos' coach Giorgos Pantelakis used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American forward KeShunan James (184-94, college: Murray St.) answered with 23 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals and the other American import center Molly Schlemer (196-92, college: Cal Poly, agency: LBM Management) added 12 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Eleutheria M.Olympiacos have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 7-0 record. Eleutheria M. at the other side keeps the second position with two games lost. They share it with Panathinaikos and Chania. Olympiacos are looking forward to face Niki Lefkadas (#10) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Eleutheria M.'s supporters also look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Athens to the arena Dafni Agioy.
