Regular Season Round 14: Levice - Nova Ves 92-79

There was no surprise when 8th ranked Nova Ves (3-9) were defeated on the road by second ranked Levice (8-4) 92-79. Levice players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Nova Ves' players. The former international forward Viktor Juricek (211-93, college: Texas A&M-CC) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 30 points and 10 rebounds. International point guard Simon Krajcovic (191-94, college: Loyola Mary) contributed with 13 points, 8 rebounds and 9 assists for the winners. Levice's coach Michal Madzin allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American guard Eric Nottage (187-94, college: FIU, agency: YoungGroup Unlimited) replied with 21 points, 9 rebounds, 8 assists and 4 steals and Canadian guard Justus Alleyn (188-95, college: Manitoba) added 21 points in the effort for Nova Ves. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Levice have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 8-4 record having just two point less than leader Inter Bratislava. Nova Ves at the other side keep the eighth place with nine games lost. They share the position with Rieker KN. Levice will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Nova Ves will play at home against Lucenec (#3) and hope to get back on the winning track.
