Not a big story in a game when 6th ranked Salou (6-5) was outplayed on the road by leader Tarragona (10-0) 95-62 on Saturday. Tarragona forced 20 Salou turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Salou's players. The best player for the winners was point guard David Fernandez (179-91) who scored 14 points and 5 assists. Forward Joan Sorolla (202-0) chipped in 16 points (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field). Five Tarragona players scored in double figures. Guard Gonzalo Balta (-95) produced 15 points and center Eduard Villacampa (204-85) added 8 points and 10 rebounds respectively for the guests. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. The victory was the tenth consecutive win for Tarragona. They maintain first place in Group C-B with 10-0 record. Loser Salou keeps the sixth position with five games lost. Tarragona will face Mollet (#4) on the road in the next round.
