An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Sopot. First ranked Twarde Pierniki faced 4th ranked Trefl. Guests from Torun (9-1) defeated host Trefl (6-4) 80-63. Twarde Pierniki forced 20 Trefl turnovers. American point guard Chris Wright (185-89, college: Georgetown) scored 29 points and 6 assists to lead the charge for the winners and Nigerian power forward Alade Aminu (207-87, college: Georgia Tech) chipped in 19 points and 11 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side American center Nana Foulland (208-95, college: Bucknell) responded with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 12 rebounds and his fellow American import guard Cameron Ayers (196-91, college: Bucknell) scored 16 points. Trefl's coach Marcin Stefanski rotated eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Twarde Pierniki have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 9-1 record. Trefl lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the fifth place with four games lost. They share the position with Radom and Asseco Arka. Twarde Pierniki will meet at home GTK (#13) in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Trefl will play against Legia (#15) in Warszawa and hope to secure a win.
