Regular Season Round 13: Tours - Stade Rochelais 77-70

Very expected game when 12th ranked La Rochelle (4-8) lost on the road to fifth ranked Tours (7-4) 77-70 on Saturday. Tours looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was a very good performance for center Vincent Pourchot (222-92) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 20 points and 14 rebounds. Guinean swingman Ahmed Doumbia (195-89, agency: Octagon Europe) contributed with 17 points and 7 assists for the winners. Four Tours players scored in double figures. American power forward Ron Anderson (202-89, college: S.Florida, agency: Octagon Europe) answered with 25 points and 8 rebounds and Jonathan Boucaud (187-95) added 12 points and 4 assists in the effort for La Rochelle. La Rochelle's coach tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Despite that victory Tours went down to sixth position (Group A) due to points difference. Loser La Rochelle dropped to the eleventh place with eight games lost. Tours will face league's leader Etoile Angers at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. La Rochelle will play against Caen (#5) and hope to win that game.
