Regular Season Round 10: IK Eos - Hogsbo 89-82

Undefeated Hogsbo (7-1) recorded its first loss in Lund. Visitors were defeated by second ranked IK Eos (9-2) 89-82. It ended at the same time the seven-game winning streak of Hogsbo. It looked good early as Hogsbo took a 7-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then IK Eos had a 25-16 second period charge getting the lead and Hogsbo was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 82-89. Guard David Niklasson (193-95, college: N.Platte CC) notched 27 points and 6 rebounds to lead the effort and forward Andreas Von-Uthmann (197-96) supported him with 13 points and 8 rebounds. Five IK Eos players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 27 points and 13 rebounds by Croatian forward Toni Vitali (203-91) did not help to save the game for Hogsbo. Forward Kristian Ternell (199-92) added 15 points and 11 rebounds for lost side. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. IK Eos have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 9-2 record having just one point less than leader KFUM Fryshuset. Hogsbo at the other side keeps the third place with one game lost. IK Eos will play against Trelleborg (#8) at home in the next round where they are favorite. Hogsbo will play against the league's leader KFUM Fryshuset (#1) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
