Regular Season Round 11: Guangsha L. - Shenzhen L. 97-113

The game between third ranked Zhejiang Guangsha Lions (9-3) and fourteenth ranked Leopards (6-6) was the most important one in the last round on Saturday night. Zhejiang Guangsha Lions were defeated by Leopards in Hangzhou 113-97. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Zhejiang Guangsha Lions. It was a great evening for American point guard Dwight Buycks (191-89, college: Marquette) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 7 rebounds, 10 assists and 4 steals. The former international center Zijie Shen (205-97) helped adding 23 points and 11 rebounds. Leopards' coach Jianjun Wang used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American forward Kenneth Faried (203-89, college: Morehead St.) responded with a double-double by scoring 17 points, 10 rebounds and 4 blocks and the other American import guard Aaron Jackson (190-86, college: Duquesne) scored 15 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line). Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Leopards moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Qingdao E. and Nanjing TX MK. Zhejiang Guangsha Lions at the other side keep the third position with three games lost. Leopards will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Zhejiang Guangsha Lions will play on the road against Brave Dragons in Taiyuan and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
