Regular Season Round 10: Marghera - Udine 45-48

Bottom-ranked Marghera is still unable to win any game. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their ninth consecutive match to eleventh ranked Udine (4-5) 48-45 on Saturday evening. It was a very good performance for Latvian power forward Liga Vente (191-91, college: Eckerd) who helped to win the game recording 17 points and 9 rebounds. Elena Vella (172-0) contributed with 7 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Chiara Grattini replied with 11 points and 7 rebounds and Giorgia Callegari (173-96) added 13 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Marghera. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Udine moved-up to tenth place in A2. Loser Marghera still closes the standings with nine games lost. Udine will face higher ranked San Martino (#9) in San Martino di L in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Marghera will play on the road against the league's leader Moncalieri (#1) having rather not much hope for a victory.
