Regular Season Round 9: ADBA - Iraurgi 65-90

Rather expected game in Aviles where 13th ranked ADBA (1-8) was crushed by tenth ranked Iraurgi (4-5) 90-65 on Saturday. Iraurgi made 22-of-26 free shots (84.6 percent) during the game, while ADBA only scored five points from the stripe. American center Jaisa Nunn (190-97, college: N.Mexico) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 12 rebounds for the winners and Serbian guard Andjela Radovic (176-95) chipped in 16 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists (went 10 for 10 at the free throw line !!!). Five Iraurgi players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Kenyan center Mercy Wanyama (185-92) with 21 points and 9 rebounds and power forward Jone Azkue (180-95) scored 16 points and 6 rebounds. ADBA's coach gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Iraurgi moved-up to ninth place in Group A. ADBA lost their eighth game in a row. They keep the thirteenth position with eight games lost. Iraurgi will face Barakaldo (#10) in Vizcaya in the next round. ADBA will play on the road against Leganes and hope to win that game.
