Regular Season Round 14: Asker Aliens - Nidaros Jets 105-68

Date: November 30, 2019
Bottom-ranked Asker Aliens managed to get a second victory, breaking the seven-game losing streak. This time they outleveled ninth-ranked Nidaros Jets 105-68. It's especially surprising that the victory came too easily and 37-point difference suggests that Asker Aliens is in a good shape to leave the bottom place. They dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Nidaros Jets' 42. Asker Aliens forced 21 Nidaros Jets turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. DR Congolese forward Djo Loo-Yele (203-82) notched a double-double by scoring 25 points and 14 rebounds to lead the effort and American point guard Eric Gilchrese (183-87, college: UNH) supported him with 30 points and 12 steals. Gilchrese is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Asker Aliens' coach Kenneth Webb felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even 25 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists by guard Even Skjellaug (195-95) did not help to save the game for Nidaros Jets. Forward Tor Anders (190-0) added 16 points and 5 rebounds for the guests. Asker Aliens maintains tenth position with 2-11 record. Nidaros Jets lost third consecutive game. They keep the ninth place with 13 games lost. Asker Aliens will play against higher ranked Gimle BBK (#7) in Bergen in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Nidaros Jets will play at home against Froya Basket and hope to get back on the winning track.
