Regular Season Round 11: Trefl 2 Sopot - SMS PZKosz 75-71

Not a big story in a game when 10th ranked SMS PZKosz (2-7) lost on the road to fifth ranked Trefl II Sopot (6-3) 75-71 on Sunday. However just four-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Forward Daniel Ziolkowski (193-2) orchestrated the victory by scoring 17 points and 6 rebounds. Forward Lukasz Klawa (203-1) contributed with 12 points for the winners. Center Szymon Zapala (210-1) answered with a double-double by scoring 20 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists and Adrian Sobkowiak (188-1) added 22 points and 4 steals in the effort for SMS PZKosz. SMS PZKosz's coach Mladen Starcevic tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Trefl II Sopot. They maintain fifth place in Group A with 6-3 record. Loser SMS PZKosz keeps the tenth position with seven games lost. Trefl II Sopot will face Biofarm II (#11) in Poznan in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. SMS PZKosz will play at home against AZS UMK Torun and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
