Regular Season Round 40: Orlando M. - Golden St.W. 100-96
Date: December 1, 2019
Rather expected game in Orlando where 5th ranked Warriors (5-16) were defeated by third ranked Magic (8-11) 100-96 on Sunday. Magic looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Magic made 8 blocks. Worth to mention a great performance of French Evan Fournier (198-92) who helped to win the game recording 32 points and swingman Markelle Fultz (196-98, college: Washington) who added 14 points and 9 assists during the contest. Magic's coach allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. At the losing side forward Willie Cauley-Stein (213-93, college: Kentucky) responded with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 12 rebounds and forward Eric Paschall (203-96, college: Villanova) scored 17 points and 6 rebounds. Four Magic and five Warriors players scored in double figures. Magic moved-up to second place, which they share with OKC Thunder. Loser Warriors keep the fifth position with 16 games lost. Magic will have a break next day. Warriors will play on the road against Hawks (#5) in Atlanta and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
