Regular Season Round 8: Nes-Ziona - Galil Gilboa 106-115

Ironi Nes-Ziona (#5) was upset in Nes Ziyona by eighth ranked Galil Gilboa 115-106. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Ironi Nes-Ziona. Strangely Ironi Nes-Ziona outrebounded Galil Gilboa 56-41 including a 41-29 advantage in defensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 30 assists. Ironi Nes-Ziona was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. Americans were the main players on the court. It was an exceptional evening for swingman Jarmar Gulley (196-91, college: Missouri St.) who led the winners and scored 32 points, 8 rebounds, 9 assists and 5 steals. Forward Justin Tillman (203-96, college: VCU) accounted for 34 points (!!!) and 10 rebounds for the winning side. Swingman Daequan Cook (196-87, college: Ohio St.) came up with 34 points (!!!) and 7 rebounds and forward Jeremy Hollowell (203-94, college: Georgia St.) added 23 points and 8 rebounds respectively for Ironi Nes-Ziona in the defeat. Four Ironi Nes-Ziona players scored in double figures. Galil Gilboa (4-4) moved-up to fifth place. Ironi Nes-Ziona at the other side dropped to the sixth position with four games lost. They share it with M.Haifa. Galil Gilboa will play against higher ranked Hapoel Jerusalem (#3) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Ironi Nes-Ziona will play against the league's second-placed Rishon and hopes to get back on the winning track.
