Leader Ragusa delivered the seventh victory. This time they crushed bottom-ranked Battipaglia (0-8) 87-67. Ragusa players were unselfish on offense dishing 35 assists comparing to just 22 passes made by Battipaglia's players. The winners were led by Romanian-American power forward Ashley Walker (187-87, college: California) who scored that evening 25 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists (on 11-of-14 shooting from the field) and American forward Dearica Hamby (191-93, college: Wake Forest, agency: LBM Management) supported her with 18 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists. Four Ragusa players scored in double figures. Even 21 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists by the former international forward Marzia Tagliamento (181-96) did not help to save the game for Battipaglia. Power forward Alice Nori (182-93) added 15 points and 8 rebounds for the hosts. Battipaglia's coach Sandro Orlando rotated ten players seeing no chance for a win. Ragusa maintains first position with 7-1 record, which they share with Schio. Battipaglia at the other side still closes the standings with eight games lost. Ragusa's next round opponent will be Costa Masnaga (#12) at home which should be another easy win for them. Battipaglia will play against Palermo and hopes to get finally their first victory.
